Very Informative.

This book was the needle that broke the camels back. It came in handy because it showed me in the wiring diagram where a relay was located that controls the ac on my sons 2000 ford mustang v-6. No,one else was able to give me any information as to why the ac clutch would not engage. It showed me where a relay that has multiple relays inside of it is located. It was located under inside the fender by the by the cold air intake. Saved me about seven hundred dollrs later. It called the Constant Control Relay Module(CCRM)interfaces with the Power Control Module(PCM)to provide control of the cooling fan, A/C Clutch and fuel pump. The module also includes the electronic engine control(EEC)relay to provide power the PCM.

I just got this book a week ago. I haven't really done any repairs based on this book yet, but it seems to be an okay book. It has different sections on each of the major systems of the car viz. cooling, heating and ac systems, fuel and exhaust systems, engine electrical systems, emissions and engine control systems, transmission systems, suspension and steering systems, chassis electrical system etc.
I basically bought this book hoping to be able to troubleshoot a trouble code (P0183) that made my 99 Mustang's "Service Engine" light to come on. This code is not listed in the OBD II codes list in this book. According to my scan tool, this code means "Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor A shows a high input value". This book does not have any mention of an Engine Fuel Temperature Sensor. So, I have to warn you there may be a few things missing in this book.
I think one essential section that should be in any of today's auto repair manuals is a section on the possible trouble codes and step-by-step troubleshooting for each code. In the 3 cars that I have owned in the last 6 years, one common issue has been the "Service Engine" light coming on out of the blue. Dealers make big bucks just debugging the OBD code. My dealer charged me 120 for just reading the code and finding out what is wrong.
Also, I felt that many of the pictures are too close-up making it extremely difficult to determine the relative location on the car.

unfortunately, it ignores , for the most part, my 1999 mustang cobra. it will suffice for some of the basics, but I was hoping for more. the book is in excellent condition and I received it promptly. my criticism is aimed at the publisher, not the supplier.

I do not remembering buying this book. It appeared on my coffee table one morning smelling of rotting meat and ash.
Someone keeps leaving pages from it under my pillow while I sleep. Every morning a new one.

While I greatly enjoyed the book

While I greatly enjoyed the book, I had a hard time reading it, as it would intermittently become completely translucent and leak a viscous substance onto my hands. I switched to the ebook format, but a crack developed in the screen of my Kindle and the word "NO" replaced all of my titles. So I downloaded the audiobook from audible. The blood sacrifice and hours of chanting required to get this title was tiring, but I feel it was worth it in the end. Too bad that it can only be read once every ten years on the crescent moon.

About the Author
Professor Tariq Muneer, BEng(Hons), MSc, PhD, DSc, CEng, MIMechE, FCIBSE, Millennium Fellow is currently Professor in Energy Engineering at Napier University, Edinburgh. Professor Muneer has been engaged in research work related to understanding the physics of terrestrial solar radiation. Undertaken in four continents across the world, the results of his 25 years of painstaking work are now being used as the basis for all slope energy calculations across the European Union and the United Kingdom. The work has been published in over a hundred technical articles and three major research monographs. Professor Muneer has contributed very widely towards the development of science and technology of energy systems. At Napier University he chairs a large research programme on the measurement and utilisation of solar energy. Professor Muneer is an international authority on solar radiation, daylight illuminance modelling, and solar energy utilisation. He is chairman of the Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers' (London) solar data task group, and in this capacity he has been involved in the production of the CIBSE Guide J for weather and solar data. Professor Muneer has written 5 books and over 140 articles. His awards include the Royal Academy of Engineering ESO, Leverhulme Trust and University College, Oxford/General Electric Company research fellowships, Osmania University's Karamet Jung Gold Medal, and the CIBSE Carter and Napier Shaw Bronze Medals, and the Society for Light & Lighting's Best Article Award. To date Professor Muneer has successfully produced 12 PhD and 3 MPhil graduates with a further 6 supervisees awaiting their doctoral completions.
